Cashmere is graded by how fine its fibre is. Most cashmere measures 16 to 19 microns, and Grade A means 15.5 or finer; ours measures 15, which is why it feels smooth against bare skin instead of prickly. It is spun from the white down on the flanks of young goats, the finest part of the fleece, and white fibre takes dye cleanly, so pale shades stay clear rather than muddy. Every style is 100% cashmere, with no wool, nylon or other blend in the yarn.
